Joshua has been sleeping in his carseat at night and in the day. It seems to be making a big difference with his breathing. In addition to sleeping better he has had more awake time. It's so fun to see him look around and take in his surroundings. I am feeling more rested as I do less and stress out less. Right now Grant and Spencer are playing the DS and eating some baked barbecue chips. It's nice to have older kids who can entertain themselves for awhile so I can have a minute to do a few things.
Tyler woke up this morning and made breakfast for the boys and even got up at two am to give the baby his medicine when I slept through the Alarm. I'm grateful for all of his help.
Tonight is the pinewood derby. I thought about trying to get a babysitter to watch Joshua so I could go...but then decided I want to enjoy every second of Joshua being a baby. I am completely ok with doing the bare minimum for the next little while. There will be lot's of pinewood derby's to attend. I am still tired too from having a baby and going back and forth to the hospital while he was in the NICU. This recoverry period feels nice.
We watched the final debate last night as Grant and his dad worked on the derby car. Spencer always has funny commentary. Last year he dubbed grant's car the "bloody killer" and this year he claims the car is stupid since it's solid blue without any decorations.
Matt worked really hard trying to get the weights proportioned just right.
He came back with some weights and a Dremmel 3000. Putting it together proved to be more challenging than anticipated.
But soon it was up and running.
And a good hour at least was spent carving out a space for the purchased weights.
On a windy night nonetheless.
Grant decided he looked like a woman in this picture. I think he looks like an angel.:)
Spencer sacked out about 9 watching the Bears play. Must not have been a very good game.
It was a fun night.

Here's hoping after all that work that the car is fast, but I guess the father/son time is worth way more than winning a race!!!
Joshua is a cutie! I'm glad to hear that he is sleeping and breathing better. Have you seen the portable, slanted baby beds? Hannah slept in one for a few months, and it really helped with her breathing and her acid reflux. It is a Fisher Price Newborn Rock N Play Sleeper, and it costs about $50 at Target. If you want, you could always borrow ours (pink and brown--your boys might be horrified) if you have someone going from Utah to Vegas, but someone else in Scott's family might have a boy one you could borrow instead. I was just way too paranoid to let Hannah sleep in her car seat.
