It's hard to believe a whole year has gone by and my little Spencer is a one-year-old toddler. Yep, that's right he's walking! He has been taking a few steps for a while now, but not enough to be called a toddler. Today he demonstrated his mastery of getting up all by himself and walking across the room (until he remembered that crawling was much faster of course.)
Spencer has just returned from the hospital and is still feeling pretty tired and not very hungry so...we decided to postpone the cake and ice cream party until Monday when he can actually enjoy a little birthday treat. We did however, set up our Christmas tree and had a great time doing it. Spencer enjoyed the time together as a family and LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, the train Grandma and Grandpa sent home with Grant! Spencer especially liked having us sing Happy birthday to him thruought the day.
In addition to today's low-key festivities and the upcoming party on Monday, we celebrated Spencer's birthday with Grandma and Grandpa Holland in Layton over the Thanksgiving weekend.
I don't know what is cuter the adoring baby or the adoring audience!
