I know that my Savior loves me.

Today my boys and I were able to shake hands with an Apostle of the Lord Jesus Christ, Jeffrey R. Holland. I can not put into words how much this experience meant to me.

Elder Holland  looked me in the eyes and expressed appreciation for me. He thanked me and told me he was proud of me, that I was doing a good job and that I was a good "momma" then he hugged me.
What a gift.

To him I would say; I love you too...I am proud of you, you are a wonderful man, father, example, speaker, Apostle and disciple of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for assisting me as I feebly try my best to follow God's plan.

I found the following description of an apostle on the church website. www.lds.org

In Greek, Apostle means “one sent forth.” It was the title Jesus gave to the Twelve whom he chose and ordained to be his closest disciples and helpers during his ministry on earth (Luke 6:13; John 15:16). He sent them forth to represent him and to minister for him after his ascension into heaven. Both anciently and in the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles in the restored Church today, an Apostle is a special witness of Jesus Christ in all the world to testify of his divinity and of his resurrection from the dead (Acts 1:22; D&C 107:23).

I have come to learn for my self through the power of the Holy Ghost that these men are what they say they are; living apostles of the Lord Jesus Christ. I love them and I love my Heavenly Father for providing us with a plan. I know if we listen and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ we will  find our way back to our Heavenly Father and experience real joy and happiness while here on this earth.

This experience made me think of the beautiful chidlren's song
by  TAMI JEPPSON CREAMER AND DERENA BELL  entitled,

" I know that my Savior loves me."

A long time ago in a beautiful place,
Children were gathered ’round Jesus.
He blessed and taught as they felt of His love.
Each saw the tears on His face.
The love that He felt for His little ones
I know He feels for me.
I did not touch Him or sit on His knee,
Yet, Jesus is real to me.
Chorus
I know He lives!
I will follow faithfully.
My heart I give to Him.
I know that my Savior loves me.
2. Now I am here in a beautiful place,
Learning the teachings of Jesus.
Parents and teachers will help guide the way,
Lighting my path ev’ry day.
Wrapped in the arms of my Savior’s love,
I feel His gentle touch.
Living each day, I will follow His way,
Home to my Father above.

Through an Apostle today I was reminded  "... that my Savior loves me." And he loves you too!

If any of you would like a copy of the Book of Mormon another testament of Jesus Christ I will gladly send you a free copy. Just send me an e-mail or leave me a message with your address and I will get it to you as soon as I can.
