We had a wonderful New Years Eve. It started out with canning apples. Everyone was thrilled about this. NOT! Before, I was put on restricted activity I bought a ton of apples from a food coop at a great price so I could make apple sauce. This was about 3 weeks ago and since then like I mentioned have been restricted in what I can do. Somehow I convinced these guys to help me out though with this project so we wouldn't have to waste all the apples. It was pretty fun for the first hour or so and then it stretched on till 8 and the boys were ready to start the party and Tyler ended up finishing it alone since I started having sort of painful contractions. We ended up with 13 bottles of apple sauce. Grant can't get enough of it and wants to eat it several times a day. I personally think it is too chunky and sweet. I like smooth unsweetened apple sauce. Next time I will use another recipe or make two versions.
After apple sauce making we packed everyone up to go get some pizza at Little Caesars and Inn and out burger for me. Once home we started the long anticipated monopoly game. It was a lot of fun. Grant was the banker and somehow kept winding up with large piles of 5 and 100 dollar bills.
Spencer held his own for most of the game until he fell into the hands of an evil tall advisor. Tyler and Spencer had an understanding once Tyler ran out of money Spencer would pay his debts for him and Tyler would pay him back later..jpg)

Grant showed us his trash talking skills as he proceeded to beat the pants of all of us. Once it struck midnight we went outside to celebrate and yell while spraying each other with our 90 % off silly string that we bought after Halloween. It was freezing out there and I had trouble taking pictures and operating my silly string too. I continue to try and use my point and shoot camera that I got for Christmas from Tyler two years ago with poor results--the collage and the last picture were taken with the said camera. The boys loved every second of the silly string fight. Grant sprayed it right in my face and ear on several occasions. Pretty gross. After that we came back inside to have a New Years Toast with our cranberry Martinelli's. The boys talked with their Dad for a few minutes and then it was off to bed.

Looks like fun!!
Does look like lots of fun. I'll bet Grant likes the applesauce better because he helped make it! Glad they were willing to help out. We love you!
