It's the last day of school!

This has been a very interesting, challenging and wonderful school year four our whole family.
Spencer successfully went through the 2nd Grade and was tested into the Gate program for next year.
Grant attended an AP academy that pushed him and taught him new things. I think they both had highs and lows for the year. I am happy to say we are ending at a very good point for our family. I feel like we are closer than we have ever been.
We are so happy that summer is here.
On Monday Spencer had an awards day. He got on the A honor Roll and an Awesome Author award

Update

Josh took valentines to his friends at coop in his superman costume. I thought he might die from happiness. His little face was like rays of sunshine.:)

Spencer woke up bright and early to get dressed in his nice clothes for his field trip to the Smith center to see Flat Stanley. He was so excited and proud of the outfit he chose. He looked amazing.

Grant headed off to school with talk of music and how it inspires him and happy thoughts as he looked forward to the JV quiz club on Thursday.

Kate LOVES to dance and showed us some new moves last night as we played basketball to we will rock you for Fhe last night. She crawls all over the place, pulls herself up into the standing position, tries to stand on her own and even sits down on the bottom step on the staircase that leads upstairs. She has 6 teeth (two still working there way through) and loves eating what we are eating for dinner and snacks. If we have a red cup she wants a red cup.:) It's so cute that babies notice these things. She's majorly In love with her daddy and makes a bee line for him on all fours when he gets home. She is strong and curious and very determined to explore, be involved and avoid sleep. We love all our children so much and feel so blessed to watch them learn and grow.

Rainstorm

We had a pretty rainy couple of weeks at the very end of summer just after school began. It was so bad that it washed part of the road away between here and St. George.
Grant had a blast going out in it. He has always loved the rain.
It's a novelty here in Las Vegas where it's so dry most of the year.

Inseparable--these two

I love that Grant has found the buddy of all buddies. These two are always wanting to get together and the best part of all is they want to play with each others little siblings too. Everyone's invited. They all love each other so much and it makes me really happy. I think it starts with these two though. They are the big brothers that set the stage. These two boys are a class act! Amazing kids! Love them both.

Grandma Williamson came into town

The boys were able to meet up with us from 6 to 8 on Saturday while Grandma Williamson was in town. It was so nice to see them having such a good time together. They sure love her. Josh was especially happy to have her around and requested that she help him eat, read to him, help him say prayers and sit by him in the van. He also shared his Banana and Doritos with her.  We went to Costco together than she stayed to watch the boys while Tyler, Kate and I finished our shopping at Smiths with Kate. It's always fun to see our usual Mormon friends at the store Saturday night.
After shopping we came home and made some really good tacos and then the boys had to go with their dad for the night. Grant got his first cell phone and Grandma and I had the chance to stay up late and talk. I love my mom so much.
We said goodbye this morning and then made it to the church to watch Grant pass the sacrament for the first time. It was so nice to be there all together again with our family watching our boy do his priesthood duties as a deacon. We are so proud of him. He did an excellent job frequently looking to his dad for help. It was a lovely wonderful day that we finished with a back to school feast that we invited Matt, Karyn and her kids.  We had pork loin, carrots, onions, gravy and Tyler's legendary Sunday Strawberry milkshakes.  Afterwards we set out the backpacks, clothing, and schedules and finally we ended with Matt giving his boys a back to school father's blessing.

My boys decided they wanted to read the scriptures and write in their journals before bed. It was an unusual night were everything seemed to fall together.
