Indexing

There is a big push churchwide to start indexing. We decided to join in with the boys. A few weeks ago we had a family home evening on it and learned how. For some reason we couldn't download the program onto our computer though till this week. Once we got started it was pretty fun. I could feel the spirit strongly as we worked on the names...it was a much different feeling than normal. Spencer described it as a warm squishing feeling in his stomach.  :)  We liked it and set a family goal of 50 names by the end of August.

#BYU50

We went to look for the BYU box tonight. It was fun to get the kids all dressed up in their BYU gear trying to chase it down. We had shirts for everyone but Kate.  So we made her a bib and a headband out of a too small shirt Spencer couldn't use anymore. Spencer was super excited and looked for it all day everywhere we went on the road as we drove.
We decided to wait at the Mormon fort once it got close to the announced time for the drop off.
A few other kids were there when we got there and after awhile along came Leslie Nebeker.  I tried to keep Josh and Kate cool in the shade but it wasn't long before I had to turn the car on and get them inside.  That's when the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth occurred.
Josh did not want to be buckled into his seat while the boys waited outside having fun.
I guess the boys all agreed if the box was dropped of there they wouldn't fight over it...they would split it up according to what they thought each parent would want.

Then we got news via Alexis my friend that the site was posted. The container park--dang, I thought about going to a place close to the container park. We packed up and headed over not soon enough though. Someone else got it. So we decided to drive home.  At that point Kate was screaming, Grant wanted to tell me a story and listen to the Radio, Spencer wanted to figure out the name of the guy who got the box and figure out why we weren't still out looking for it. AND Josh started rubbing #2 all over his face.  I was on the freeway and couldn't do anything about it...so Spencer had to wipe him down the best he could with baby wipes. AWESOME!

Our life lately

Grant turns twelve next Sunday. And boy is he ever excited. We are excited too and can't wait to celebrate with him this year (we get him every other year on his birthday)
Everything is Awesome!  The Lego movie has taken over our house. Spencer bought a set from the movie that he loves to build and Josh is always asking to watch "more Awesome".  I love seeing Spencer building with his Legos and finding his creations all over the place. He is pretty pumped up that he got the teacher he wanted for second grade and that he will be in the same class as his best friend for the third year in a row.
I have been washing a lot of dishes lately since our dishwasher is still broken.  With everything else going I can't seem to find the time to schedule a repair.
Kate has become a lot more interactive lately. She likes to blow bubbles and gets really excited when her Dad is around and tickles her or blows on her belly.  We love her soooo much.
Josh continues to be full of life.  I nick named him "wild tiger" and he loves it.  He had an MRI on saturday to follow up after his abnormal EEG. We are not sure when we will here back from the Dr. about the results. Fingers crossed its good news.
We are in the last few weeks of summer and look forward to a lot of relaxing time at home.
Grant is feeling pretty nervous as we get closer to the first day of middle school. We are hoping that we will still hear back about wether or not he got in to the school he wants to attend. There was some sort of administrative mix-up so it's still pending.
