Home again

We got home from our California trip yesterday just in time to stop at home briefly to change clothes and get the medicine bag pulled together that goes back and forth for the boys to take to their dads house for the week. We had cereal for dinner and waited up late for josh and Kate's blankets to finish in the dryer( they were so gross from the trip). After that I stayed up even later clearing out my camera and posting pictures.

It's nice to be home but I always have a few depressed hours as I look around at all the work that was left undone before we left. Mostly I'm happy to be home. The kids sure are. Kate was happy to have a bottle again since we didn't take one on the trip, Tyler and I appreciated our own bed and not having everyone in the same room. Josh seemed happy to get into his brothers Legos again.
I have a lot of cleaning to do and laundry to put away but I wanted to be sure to do a few fun things with Josh and Kate too. I get focused sometimes on getting to the every day work that never goes away and forget to have fun with my kids and develop my relationship with them. I've been feeling lately that I need to focus on that more. So we painted a few pictures.
Had some pool time (vitamin D time) and hopefully they will nap so I can get my house back in order.
