Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was wonderful this year. I only wish I could have been with everyone that I love. It's hard not to have my boys with me...I know they had a wonderful time with their dad and extended family, but they sure are missed when they are gone. I also wish we could have been with Tyler's family and the rest of mine as well.
I was especially grateful to see Mary...I haven't seen her since the wedding. What is it about being with your people that makes life so good. You share a lot of the same tastes, habits, way of doing things. It's just easier. You get each other and talk about your similar interests. It's heaven. Heaven won't be heaven withought these people in it. I love them dearly.
Mary made the majority of the meal with my mom helping in between her primary duty (being a baby mindreader). She seemed to know what Joshua needed all the time and kept him happy a large part of the day while I "tried" to organize, straighten, shower, and get in a few loads of laundry--it never seemed like I got much more done than feeding Joshua:). Joe tackled the potatoes and made sure we would have plenty of leftovers. My favorite part is always the laughing at each other that takes place as we try and figure out how to merge different techniques and ideas. Ulitmately we think enough a like that you hear a lot of good idea, bingo, perfect. Again...family...love them. :)
I made some gluten free stuffing that was almost ruined since I didn't toast the bread cubes. Luckily my mom caught that and between Joe, Mary, my mom and myself we decided we needed to roast the egg type concoction to dry it out a bit. It turned out great in the end. Mary commented that it tasted like...regular stuffing.
We had lactose free potatoes, and some gluten free gravy as well.
The only thing I didn't get to was the gluten free pies. Mary however made a beautiful apple and pumpkin pie that everyone seemed to really enjoy.
Joe brought his sunny personality, sarcasm, quick wit and dry sense of humor.  Additionally, he brought a desire to poke me in the ribs that he never fails to leave behind that led me to kicking a chair and injuring my foot. Thank Joe...Love you.
I found these beauties on craigs list on wednesday and couldn't be more pleased. "Fancy" silverware. I am trying harder to immerse myself in "Young culture". I'm one of them now I had better start talking like it. :) (Fancy is a word the Young family uses liberally.)
My mom and Josh formed a love connection. Joe loved all the pictures I was taking.
Baby Josh enjoyed the near constant holding.
I decided I better be in a picture too so my posterity will know I was involved.
And at the end of the day we were full and tired.
