Joshua came home today.

It's been almost 22 months since this post and I haven't really written about this experience for me. It was very difficult. This is something I shared with my friend who is currently going through her own NICU experience. (Becky, All I can say is that having a child in the NICU is like a hell on earth. I was so tired and so angry and so frustrated. Its hard to watch the doctors tell you one thing and then see the nurses interperet all different and see how their efforts cancel each other out and potentially slow progress. Its hard to sit back and wait especially as they take a turn for the worse. I was not a nice mom and had a really hard time. If I had to do it again I would know Josh was in really good hands and all the work that is done in the NICU is miraculous, I would try and pay closer attention to the almost tangible sacred feeling in the air. I am certain angels are there too working helping and taking good care of those babies. God bless you and your Odin. )
