Surprise Visit from Grandpa Williamson

Grant was feeling pretty sick for about a week around Easter time. So sick that he just laid in bed without eating much more than a popsicle. This is very unlike Grant.

Grandpa caught wind of the whole situation and planned a secret trip from Phoenix to cheer up his little buddy. He even brought his four or five Golden Retriever puppies with him. Unfortunately, I didn't catch a very good picture of them. They were, however, full of enthusiastic puppy love... which, of course, thrilled Grant to no end. Their boundless energy seemed to recharge his battery and definitely boosted his spirits.

Though we only had a few hours together visiting that night and then again the next morning, I think the trip was perfectly timed and perfectly executed. It was just what Grant needed. Sick or not, boys need to know that they are special--and feel special he did!
