Together they decorated boxes to keep special keepsakes in, ate hotdogs and cookies and really enjoyed each other's company.
In addition to the Grandperson's day activity, we enjoyed getting lost on the way home from the airport and ended up on the other side of town near the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Needless to say, that will be the last nighttime airport run I will be making without getting a new prescription for glasses. To my credit, I made a common error of missing an exit at a very confusing spaghetti bowl (or so I tell myself in order to feel better). After we finally got home (about 3 hours later), we stayed up way too late talking and enjoying each other's company.
The next day we attended Amy Gardiner's baby shower (no pictures) put on by Grandma Helen and Aunt Josephine. The shower was beautifully decorated and the food was amazing. Especially the meatballs. Grandma and Jo really have a knack for making people feel special with their Martha Stewart-like parties. I really admire that about them.
After the shower, we stayed up yet again way too late--this time with Matt. Though we were very tired at the end of the weekend, we were happy to spend some time with our Grandma Holland whom we love so much. Thanks for making our weekend, Grandma. We Love You!
