Chicken and a Movie

A few years ago we started a fun family tradition called "Pizza and a Movie." We have since changed it too "Chicken and a Movie." We try to do it weekly but are lucky if it happens monthly. Here are a few pictures of tonight's "Chicken and a Movie."

Tonight's movie was a family favorite, "David & Goliath."

I love to snuggle on the couch with my boys as they sit peacefully on our laps and we all take in a great flick...

...who am I kidding. Our boys have to wrestle, wiggle, or wander around with every scene change.

Spencer found it especially satisfying to dance with a silk scarf every time the music picked up. Grant used the scarf for a number of things as well.

Like jumping of the couch and letting it trail behind him like wings or a cape...
...like putting it over Matt's eyes at every opportunity,

...and snuggling with it like it was a blankie.

Even though we look distracted, we actually do end up watching the movie and really enjoy the time together. I have always loved movies and love the way they allow me to escape into another world. SO if any of you have any suggestions for a good family movie let me know.
