Impromptu testimony meeting/talent show.
Tonight as Matt and I sat down with Grant and Spencer in our living room to read our sciptures we had a little impromptu testimony meeting/talent show. You may be thinking to yourself hmm... I wonder what one of those looks like. Well, there is never a dull moment with a creative five-year-old in the house. We were reading about Alma the younger and his experiences preaching the gospel and then started talking about faith and what it means to have faith. I asked Grant how he knew that Jesus lived and oh the clouds parted, angels blew their horns, and the light went on inside this kids head like a las vegas show. He jumped up and said, "I get it." "I want to bear my testimony." So Grant shared a very sweet testimony with us about faith. Then I shared a few thoughts and then Matt did too. It was really nice. I would have to say that we have certainly never done anything like that before, but, I hope it happens again from time to time. I am grateful for a husband who feels comfortable sharing his personal feelings with his five year old. It's nights like this I feel there may be hope after all for our little family. We try so hard...but you know. Then of course there had to be dancing, singing, and jokes. What a sweet memory. One more day, One more memory.

thanks for sharing this! It is so encouraging when we see a glimpse that we are getting through to them! I loved your ending, "one more day, one more memory" -- so often we just get bogged down with the tasks of the day and forget about the memories. Grant's a doll!
