Spring break 2014 so far

Since we just had a baby and she is only a few weeks old we knew we would be staying home for spring break this year. We have been really looking forward to this break though since it is the first one we have had with the boys since we have been married. Which means it will be our first Easter together too!!  We made a plan together as a family for this week and so far it has been going pretty good and we have stuck pretty close to our pre-determined schedule.
The first night Friday was a movie marathon night. We watched movies till we couldn't keep our eyes open anymore. We watched Napoleon Dynamite, The Ultimate life and Galaxy quest.
On Saturday I can't remember what we did...but I am sure it will come back to me. Sunday was a regular Sunday with church and then the rest of the day we talked with family took naps and made our Sunday night smoothies. I made a recipe from Los Hermanos--a Brisa. They were especially yummy!  Josh and Spencer enjoyed making mustaches with their smoothies.  Spencer did it to make fun of Josh.  Josh did it because they were so darn delicious he forgot to be careful.
Chores never seem to go away. The boys have developed great attitudes though when doing them. Josh likes to try and be wherever the action is and "help" as much as possible.
On monday night we watched Granite flats and had chocolate chip cookies for the treat.
On Tuesday night we went to the Drive inn and saw Rio 2. It was a beautiful Spring night but it was very crowded. Luckily Tyler found a great spot for us with a nice clear view.  Josh had a lot of fun. He threw a bunch of popcorn around and hopped back and forth between watching with the boys in the back of the van and sitting on Tyler's or my lap. It was really nice to get out of the house and do something different as a family.
We have had plenty of time to just hang out and enjoy our sweet baby Kate.
We got a new back yard and gate installed last week and have enjoyed spending time out on our patio. The boys take their ball out and play two square. Josh runs around on the patio laughing and having a good time. I love sending them outside with there messy snacks. Its much easier to hose things off .
Tonight we had a barbecue and got on our grass for the first time.
After the ball was kicked over the fence the boys decided to wrestle.
Josh had to be redirected about a million times as he tried to grab hand fulls of dirt from the planter area and dump it into the grass.
He was pretty excited to explore and do what his brothers were doing. He pretty much takes his ques from them. If they laugh he laughs. It they scratch their leg he scratches his leg. He isn't sure why he just knows that's what his brothers are doing and that's good enough for him.
Tomorrow we are planning on Easter egg dying and maybe watching an Easter movie too!
