LEGO movie and chores

Saturday was an interesting day for our family. Spencer had a basketball game that we scrambled to get too like usual. We had a bit of a late night with Josh being sick and watching a little Olympics. Spencer was coughing a lot so he was having a breathing treatment shortly after Josh threw up all over himself and one of our new couch pillows and the rug. EVERYTHING. It was a ton and really gross. So that was fun. I was on the couch resting and trying to drink some water while I had more contractions than I should have. Spencer through it all watched intently as the skiers expertly maneuvered on the icy slopes and said, "I think I can do this,...do you think I could do this?"  I love this little boys. He was very surprised to hear that I have been skiing and that I enjoy it. I guess I might need to take him some time. I don't think Tyler or Grant will want to join us though.:)

After a late night waking up was pretty hard. Tyler and I were up talking around 7 and we heard an urgent knock on our door. It was Spencer. "Mom, Tyler I need to get in here...it's 7:02"  He is our early bird. He is usually the first of the kids to rise and wants to get things going. So we got up and got ready for the day barely making it to the game on time. We had a few minutes to spare. But as usual I ate my breakfast and put on my make up in the car.

Unfortunately Spencer's team lost but Spencer got his hands on the ball a lot more than usual. He was the point guard a few times and did a wonderful job dribbling down the court.

After the game they went with their dad to watch their soon to be brother Jax play in his soccer game.
Once home we came up with our Saturday chores that needed to be done and let the boys know if they finished in time we could go to the LEGO movie. They were sooooo excited and worked really hard. It's always just as much work for us trying to help them with the jobs.  But I was really impressed with how hard they worked. After the chores were done. Grant Spencer and I packed up to go to the show. And let me tell you it did not disappoint. I thought it was a wonderful movie and I am so glad we made that memory together. I need to find opportunities to spend with just my big boys more often. I loved every minute of it. Tyler stayed home with sick Josh. I think he was able to watch a little bit of the BYU game.
