Last day of school

Last day of school!!!! The day started with Tyler playing "Schools out for Summer", by Alice Cooper as we had some blueberry waffles and ended (the school day anyway) with Mr.  Hudsik singing the same song over the loudspeaker before he let the kids go till next year.

Picking the boys up for the last day of school was especially nice for me. We have had such a hard year and life has been so complicated that we were/are dying for a break.  The drive home was sweet!
Once home we enjoyed some ice cold watermelon and watched the newest episode of studio C. Think Saturday night live done by some BYU students. It's really funny.
Josh loves to be apart of whatever the boys are doing .
Once Tyler got home from work we had some Green Thai curry that I made and then went swimming.
I don't know what it is about watermelon and a nice swim that triggers some major happy relaxing feelings but they do every time. These boys are so much fun to play with in the pool. Josh had so much fun splashing the boys and didn't even mind being splashed a little bit in return. He seems to be following in his big brother Grant's footsteps in more ways than one. Adorable chub, crazy love of water and splashing, and he has even started to do a little bum shuffling. :)
He got really cold and was threatening to bust out of his swim diaper. He had a chubby little bum cheek hanging out and so we decided to call it a night for him anyway and swimming.
He was very relaxed and chill for the rest of the evening. All that splashing and laughing did him in.
I tried to get a picture of me and my boys.  This one is pretty dark and blurry but it seems to capture things about right. Grant likes to liven things up. Spencer tries to look good and Joshua takes his cues from Spencer.
The hot tub was so warm.
This particular pool had a warm shower so I had the boys take a shower and wash their hair so that when we got home they could get into their pajamas right away.
Josh got into his before we left.
Spencer and I walked home and had a really nice time trying to beat Tyler, Grant and Josh. We succeeded. We are racers at heart Spencer and I. It gives us a little thrill to win.  Once home we changed into our PJ's and watched a little more TV and had some brownies and ice cream.  It was a really, really wonderful afternoon and evening. One I will always remember. I love my little boys so much. :)
