Josh is trying to crawl.

Josh has been pulling himself around a lot lately with his arms only--it seems like he is really trying to get up on all fours with the intention of crawling.
It's sure a lot of work to be a baby. So many new things to learn.
In addition to learning to crawl. We are moving away from night time feedings. Instead of feeding him when he wakes either Tyler or I will just rock him back to sleep.  It takes a little convincing but he usually goes back to sleep.
Nap times are hard because he still falls asleep nursing. I wonder if I should wake him up before I lay him down so that he can get used to falling asleep on his own?  That seems just plain mean to me...but maybe it's a good thing. I haven't decided yet. Sometimes "mean" isn't really mean...it's what they need to grow and develop.
He likes to try and feed himself with his own bowl and spoon. We have had a few big giant messes but he is getting the hang of it and I do like seeing him make progress and feel proud of his accomplishments so I suppose I can deal with the mess.
He loves to eat meals together and is fascinated by the dog. He gets very little interaction with her though since she is still a crazy puppy.
He loves his brothers so much and stares at their pictures up on the wall and laughs.
We are so happy to have you in our home handsome, adorable, happy, Josh. Can't believe you are nearly 9 months old.
