Christmas time

Tonight we were invited to attend Karyn's kids Christmas pageant. It turned out to be a really fun event. Not only was Karyn there with her kids and Matt but so were Grandma and Jo and Amy and Matt Gardner they were there to watch their cute son Connor.
Tyler got stuck in the back of the room for a while and I felt bad seeing him back there all alone. Everything is much better with him sitting next to me.  The kids did a really good job with Jax stealing the show. He is quite a ham.:) I think he and Spencer should find a reason to dance together sometime...they both quite like it and are good too.

It was nice to be there together. Joshua seemed to really enjoy the program once he woke up and had a bottle. The first part of the program he slept soundly through. I was surprised too because it was pretty loud. But once he woke up he looked around with wide eyes turning towards the lights and music and waving his hands around. Precious baby. Oma and Jo turned around a lot to admire and smile at him. Who could help it...he is so cute and easy to love. Babies are little miracles that bring people together giving us all a common purpose...Love.

After the program I had an important text message to send...Grant teased me mercilessly reminding me how I am always encouraging him to spend time with the family and not go off alone and read etc. He had me...but I did have to send it. So I typed away while we sat at a cute pizza place near our house all decorated for Christmas eating pizza. Once I was done with the stressful texting I was able to slowly unwind and start enjoying the evening again.   Spencer colored at the pizza place. He originally objected to going inside to eat with tears in his eyes...I'm a sucker for that kids tears. It makes me so sad to see him sad. He went in with some persuasion.  I think he thought we would miss out on watching a movie at home. He was right to predict that. Tyler wanted to call it a night once we got home...but I thought at least the rest of a Disney's Christmas carol which we started earlier was in order. Spencer wanted to get out the "Family blanket":) From Camille.

Joshua seemed to enjoy being with the group at the restaurant and once we got home. At home he sat smiling at the tree and gold stars suspended from our ceiling fan. Grant refused to go to bed when it was time and insisted that he help hold Joshua asking Tyler why he was hogging all the holding time with Joshua. :) I persuaded Tyler to let Grant stay up for a few more minutes to hold his brother. Everyone was tired and went to bed around 10:30...Tyler more like Eleven. Everyone except me and the baby that is. Yep that's right he's still being burped at 2 am after eating 3 times since 10.  He must be going through a growth spurt.

After feeding him this last time I glimpsed out our bedroom door into our living room and saw the pretty tree glowing in the dark (I couldn't turn it off--I like seeing it when I get up in the night. It looks magical). I couldn't resist snapping another picture. I've taken so many of it glowing with the lights off but I just had to do it one last time. We are closing on our house Monday and will most likely start moving over on Tuesday. Things are going to get real busy around here starting tomorrow.  I decided to snap the ornaments, the pillows and my precious sleeping boys. Life is good.  I love my family.

Let me know if you need anything. I would be happy to babysit or bring you a meal or do whatever to help. Tyler has helped us move twice - do you guys need Tim to come do some heavy lifting?
