Yesterday ended much better than it started.  It's funny how I just so happened to be teaching a lesson in Relief Society on Sunday. Thinking about the lesson and reading the few snippets from the manual that I've got to so far have totally changed my perspective. I'm grateful for that better perspective and the ensuing peace.

Today will be even better still because my little boys start their week with me. I always feel much better when they are at home and we are all sleeping under the same roof. I know they love to be with their Dad and its wonderful that he loves them so much and is there for them as much as he is but...a part of me seems to go with them and doesn't return till they get back. I love my boys. Luckily I still see them during the day on his weeks.

We have some fun things planned this summer that we need to start preparing for that should keep us busy for the next few days.

Post edit:
The lesson I referred to in my post is Chapter 11 from the George Albert Smith manual entitled, "Revelation from God to His Children." I mentioned in my post yesterday that preparing for the lesson changed my perspective. My mother in law asked what it was that changed my perspective. She is my husbands mother:) I say that because that is the very sort of question Tyler would ask.--"What changed?".  All I can say is that a feeling of peace came over me as I read and whatever it was that was bothering me left my mind and I was left with confidence and peace about the direction I was going. I can't pinpoint a particular sentence or idea that caused an intellectual shift in my thinking. It definitely did not come from me. How is that for revelation?  I was tempted to say no when my friend asked me to teach for her this Sunday just a few days before a major endeavor but I felt like I should say yes...and I'm so glad that I did.

Just curious about what lesson you are teaching and what changed your perspective?

Thanks for the expanation. It got me to read the RS lesson which is good. We will have the same one Sunday. I think it was Joseph Smith that said the main difference between our church and other churches is that we are founded upon the rock of revelation and have continuing revelation. It makes all the difference in the world! Can't see how others think we don't need it. I'm sure you will do a great job with your lesson.
