I stayed home today for the most part and it felt like Heaven to me. Spencer was extra cute and cheered me on as I worked...saying, "I love mommy, she's the best." A mom needs a few positive words now and again--it seems there are always more things to do than can possibly be done and if you are anything like me you are more than aware of all that was left undone from your checklist. In my case being positive isn't a form of naivete it's a method of survival.
Scattered markers, clothes strewn across the floor in a clear path to the tub, and cute little toys dotting the living room made me happy today because it meant I was there being a mom caring for my little buddy Spencer.
I'm really going to miss my Spencer when he's gone to kindergarten next year. Thank goodness it's only half-day. :)
