March

The blossoms are out on the trees. They looks so pretty against the early evening sky. I had to take a few pictures on our walk tonight.

We have a few new things going on at our home this month. Spencer has started "Joy School". Grant has been counting down the days. He has been really excited for Spencer to do this. Tomorrow is day two and I am determined to get a picture. In addition to Joy school Spencer stays busy by getting ear infections and colds:(  and being my wonderful side kick, snuggle buddy and super-duper wrestler.  He is learning so many things right now.  He finally enjoys the primary songs.  It has been a long journey getting there though.  For the longest time he's plug his ears and say I hate this song every time any sort of hymn was being played or sung.  So we are pleased that he is becoming more diverse in his musical tastes.  He currently loves Michael Jackson, and Ow City.

Spencer has been helping me lately as I practice getting tack sharp eyes in my pictures.  I take way too many pictures of him and he doesn't love it either.

The boys also love to play on the play ground every day after school till they lock up.  Spencer has found a group of big kids that he likes to go down the slide with.  They call him, "Mr. Mini-Midget", and really enjoy playing with him.  I find them all jumbled together going down the slide at the same time most days.

It makes me happy to watch my kids have that extra time to play and run around.  What a carefree time of life.  Love it!

In the evening we have been playing a wonderful game called Safetyville. The boys love it and it gives Matt and I a fun way to teach safety skills. I highly recommend the game to anyone with small children.

Matt has been helping with a trial this week...so he is very tired, yet still so helpful and oh, so loved. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this good, good man. Love him!
Grant keeps himself busy with Karate 3-4 days a week, reading, daily homework, playing with his buddies, River and Chandler, and taking good care of his puppies Hudson and Harley. His current favorite books include the children's classics and the Diary of a Wimpy kid.  I haven't read the wimpy kid series myself but think I probably better.  I have heard a few lines now and then and I actually thing it's pretty funny.

I am trying harder now than I ever have to create a balance in my life.  I feel happier having a variety of things to accomplish.  It certainly is a nicer way to live. I picked up a few books from the library a few weeks ago and have only just started yesterday to read the first one; Mansfield Park by, Jane Austin.  It took awhile to get into it and really be absorbed by the story but now I can't wait for those moments I have to read a little bit each day.
