I love these guys! Lately we have been spending our time at karate, home making meals, cleaning up messes and reading stories. Last week we went to the library for the first time in a long time. It brought back so many memories of going to the Campbell County library when I was a kid. My boys were happy to be able to get so many books. I hope we can find all of them on Friday when it's time to take them back and get some more. I'd like to make this a weekly tradition, but we'll see.
Matt has been working hard as usual being an attorney with Watson Rounds. I am lucky enough to be able to stay home with Spencer during the day while the other two boys are at school and work. We snuggle, wrestle and work together. Spencer is really good about playing next to me if I am editing pictures. I still do too much during the day. My plan is to edit pictures only at night after the boys go to bed and all the housework is done. I really do LOVE all that goes along with being a mom. It's sad though that the time seems to slip away so quickly. I hope to do a better job of making every minute count in the future.
Grant is doing so well in school "this week". He has earned computer time because of his good behavior. Way to go Grant! I have also started giving him his Zyrtec again every night like the doctor told me to do (Oops, I've been forgetting). He and Spencer have allergies that cause post-nasal drip and, in turn, they have dark circles under their eyes and get lot's of ear infections due to fluid pooling in their ears. I hope this helps. We are trying a new hair-do for Grant--inspired by his "cousin" Ashton Lloyd. It is a little more hip and pretty cute I think. Grant continues to devour books. I am happy about that. He seems to be more spiritually aware as he gets closer to his baptism this September. His thoughts and questions at scripture time every night are very thoughtful and sweet.
The puppies are getting to be a little more manageable. After the big surgery Hudson calmed right down...didn't need to get to his sister so desperately anymore. Eesh! That's a relief. They spend their time in their kennels or in the backyard. Very rarely do we let them in the house and only if they are supervised (unless of course Spencer takes pity on them and sets them free). I am too afraid to find out if they are potty trained. I think they are for the most part. They are learning to go to their bed--with a milk bone reinforcement of course. Even though they are a handful, the boys love them to pieces and I guess I kind of like them too.
It feels good to have finally updated our family blog. Let's hope the updates come more frequently than they have been.
