I am so behind

Where has the summer gone? I have so much to report but it is just so overwhelming to me to go back and recap. Our family is changing a little bit every day.

The puppies for starters have brought a lot of changes to our home some good and some bad. The boys adore them. They do all the things I hoped and imagined they would with their dogs. Spencer is constantly chasing after them laughing saying, "you silly dogs get back here". Grant loves to roll around with them and just plain love them all the time. We all love these puppies. I should since after all I am the one taking care of them. Maybe in your home the rest of the family helps out but not here and to be honest I cannot imagine how it would be possible for anyone but the mother to raise and train the puppies. I don't think it is reasonable or even possible for the kids or a working dad to constantly watch, clean up after, crate-train, potty train, take to vets, etc., etc., etc. I am pleased to be taking care of and training our pups. The one bad thing is that we think Matt may be allergic to them. Not sure what to do about that. I can't have my husband miserable. But my boys would die if we had to get rid of the puppies. We will wait a few months and see what happens and hope that Matt has a cold and watch it pass.

In addition to the puppies we have acquired quite a bit of furniture from Matt's parents. WE LOVE IT. We love them and so it is so fun to be surrounded by their things. It's nice to look at the floral living room set and recall all of the late night talks had on those couches. WE love how it makes our home feel to have furniture...their furniture.

Matt is preparing for a trial at work. I am really proud of him and all of his hard work. I would love to be able to see him in the courtroom. Especially in his new dark suits. I am sure I wouldn't be the only pair of admiring eyes. He is so talented in so many ways. Every one just loves and admires him.

Grant has lost both of his front teeth and looks adorable. He spent about two weeks with Grandma and Grandpa Holland in July and get this...HE MISSED US!!! He actually said those words. He wanted to come home. This is a big thing coming from the little boy who has begged me to go to daycare since he could talk. Thanks Grant you melted our hearts by showing that you care.

Spencer is really into fishing with his piece of rope of the couch and anything sports related. He loves baseball, basketball, golf, tennis you name it he loves it.
