Hours of fun at the park before the Last Supper!

I took the boys to the park this afternoon for a few hours before dinner to 1.) wear them out for bedtime and 2.) get them used to exercise and fill Grant/Matthew's body with happy endorphins--exercise does that right? :). Anything helps. This is for the teacher and the class tomorrow. I may try it in the morning for a few minutes too.

The boys had a blast running up and down the hills digging in dirt, standing on their head and having all of mom's attention to talk about whatever they wanted. They sure like me to be their captive audience. I wanted Grant to leave for school tomorrow on a good note with pleasant recent memories. I think we accomplished that objective. It was really peaceful for me too to be out in the cool pre-rain air listening to the leaves blow in the breeze all while a soft not blazing sun was shining on me. It reminded me of reading (with my bologna sandwich) under a Russian olive tree in our yard (on Escheta lane in Gillette, Wyoming) when I was a little girl. What a good memory.

Hopefully, Grant and Spencer will have happy memories like that too.
