Tragedy struck today when Spencer smashed a bug with his shoe right before Grant's very eyes. You see Grant prefers to deliver the bugs to the yard rather than killing them. After the smashing of the bug occurred many tears where shed. Along with the tears came some choice words that we decided where not nice words to call a brother. Finally, a family council was held with Daddy present-- since according to Grant, "he thinks it's cool when Spencer kills bugs"--to establish clear rules and expectations for bug handling so as to prevent another broken heart.
The funny thing is Grant hates bugs, won't hold them and can't stand them to be near him...yet would never hurt one. Spencer on the other hand laughs as bugs crawl all over him and even calls for them as he walks through the yard. Yet he will kill them in a heartbeat if they are near his brother. Go figure.
