Somehow I managed to have two very independent children. They think it is perfectly O.K. to do everything themselves. I guess I am a little tired of all of this self-reliance business. Because it leads to many many scenes like this. Oh the mess, the never ending mess. Any ideas out there to curb my kids appetite for independence. I just want them to ask me for help. I can't seem to get that into their heads. Help!

I am so glad your kids are like mine! They climb on the counters to get cereal, or a drink, and help themselves to whatever's in the fridge- which is usually why there isn't much in there! And when they do ask for help, it's usually screaming at me, because they are so impatient! Ah the joys of parenthood- i think I am mad to be having another!! lol!
