St. Patrick's day started this year with a bowl of Lucky Charms. My kids were thrilled since we rarely have "treat cereal". Spencer didn't care for the brown stuff he just wanted the marshmallows (who can blame him).

Mmm... yummy 100% pure sugar!!!

Grant also got a new green Super Mario outfit to wear to school so he wouldn't get pinched. When he saw it he said, "
Aw, good, I was
wondering what I was going to wear. Apparently, he had nothing green to wear in his closet. I guess I lucked out by trying to be nice. Phew that was a close one.
Grant wanted me to help out with his school party so Spencer and I got to spend about fifteen minutes helping Grant and another girl make number books out of old magazines. Later in the day they made some cute mask-type things with a red beard and a black hat and
watched a movie with popcorn. Grant did not want to wear the hat and beard combo.

Spencer loved being at school with Grant and thought it would be a good idea to run around and impress the kids with his moves. And that is why we only stayed for fifteen minutes. The other mom's bring their kids when they help out and I have too in the past without a problem. It must have been the sugar cereal. Ha-ha just kidding it must have been that he's two!!

After school I noticed Grant was a little warm and a little cranky. Before long he was sound asleep on the couch. He stayed asleep for about three days.

Happy St. Patrick's Day 2009

That looks like a lot of fun- I don't think our schools even mention ST Patricks day- I guess you could argue that is because it's an Irish holiday- not an English one, but they don't seem to make any big deal out of St George's Day either- it's a little sad!
