We are having so much fun this Christmas season. At times it seems like every thing is a big jumbly, blurry, mess but, looking back over the past few days I see that we have squeezed in some fun moments. We've had lots of goodies--hence Grant's terrible tummy ache tonight in the car after Christmas shopping. (Great natural consequence in my book.)
We had a humdinger of a pillow fight. Loved our late night shopping at Toys r' us and Target. And even managed to make the oh-so-yummy-and-naughty chocolate cherry cookies. On a down note I timed the cookie baking poorly and caused us to miss the lights at the Springs preserve tonight...but, we are going to try and hit that tomorrow night. And last but not least we "tried" to see Santa for a picture. Grant claims he didn't want to see him any way cause "they are all just a bunch of fakes ", however, when we got in close range and he saw him his eyes perked up-- a little-- and he conceded(SOMEWHAT CAUTIOUSLY) that this one could be the real one after all. After catching wind of the One hour and a half wait we swiftly decided (with Grant's permission) to play on the playground and call the peek in the window good. Who has the 40-ish dollars they charge anyway to get a few pictures? Maybe we will be able to take one with the Santa at the Springs preserve tommorrow night. I have a chance to redeem myself and be ready on time--that would make Matt's Christmas. I tend to be a titch late for things.
It has been just about the best Christmas break ever. At dinner tonight I looked over at my crew and saw sweet little Spencie with his dirty little face from swiping treats and Grant's goofy body movements that knock him on the floor too many times to count and thought to myself "what is better than this? I love my life. I love my husband. He works so hard every day for us to "bring home the bacon", and then, tries his darnedest to be cheerful despite the constant stress he experiences at work and as the breadwinner. "I could not ask for more" This Christmas I am truly blessed...boogies, stubbed toes, messy house, Christmas cards that didn't turn out quite right(I rushed through the wording and I don't like it but oh well:(), lost keys, not enough money to pay the bills, eyebrows that are begging to be plucked and all. I love my life."
Merry Christmas everyone!!

What a wonderful blog! How are you guys?! I will have to get tips on making photo collages and things, yours look great! After the holidays, of course:). We are contemplating a blog for the new year but I am a perfectionist and want to do everything right before I begin...Hope you are having a Merry Christmas!
Hope you had a great Christmas- sounds like you are having so much fun! We will try and call sometime to catch up on everything, but as you can imagine things are a little wild! Kids, weddings, birthdays, anniversaries, everything seems to happen all at once in our house!
