R.S. Christmas Dinner
I went to the R.S. Christmas Dinner with my friends Kim and Melissa. We enjoyed a beautiful program about the women and the events leading up to the birth of the Savior. It was beautiful.
I remember being Mary in such a R.S. Christmas dinner a few years ago holding the baby Jesus while "Breathe of Heaven" was sung by a very talented member of our ward. I cried and cried thinking about the significance of what I was portraying. Since then I have thought about the women who surrounded the Savior at the time of his birth and especially his mother Mary. And as a mother myself I have a new found appreciation for her divine calling. What a special time of year it is--the savior of the world was born in a manger to a virgin-- Mary. Words can not express the depth of gratitude I feel for this the greatest gift I have ever been given--a Savior.
Thank you Relief Society for reminding me what this season is all about
