A few days ago I noticed some pesky itchy bumps on Grant/Matthew's tummy. Because he has so many skin rashes as it is I didn't think a lot of it. Then I noticed one on his arm with a white blister on it. He has been immunized so I was a little skeptical. I some research and sure enough it looks like were dealin with the chicken pox. His fever, cold, sore throat and stuffy nose are a part of it as well.
As a result Grant will be spending some time at home waiting for the last spot to scab over. I am happy to have him home with me. He seems to be feeling better know. The itchy part isn't really bothering him. I think he has learned to block out that itchy feeling from his constant eczema. I hope Spencer isn't next.

Oh, no! I remember having chicken pox when I was little. My mom always talks about bringing home a new baby from the hospital to 3 girls who had chicken pox. Needless to say "baby" got quarantined.
Oh no, poor Grant. Our's had it a couple of years ago- one after the other! Poor Tom had it pretty badly when he was only 6 months old. It's such a standard illness here that we aren't even immunized against it- although I guess that doesn't seem to have helped poor Grant. Hope he feels better soon
Immunized against chicken pox? Can they do that now? But it sounds like it didn't work? I'm amazed at his ability to ignore the itchiness. Have you tried baking soda baths and calamine?
(That was Elaine. I forgot Steve's account was signed in.)
