I didn't want to mess up my clean kitchen today so we ate outside.
The conversation went a little like this;
Grant: "Mom, there is a food called escargot--and do you know what it is?
Mom: "What?"
Grant: "Snails...people just eat 'em. They eat their icky, gloppy, goopy bodies. Yuck! It's kind of yucky."
Mom: (smiles)
Spencer: (smiles)
Mom: (smiles, again)
Spencer: "I won moe milt."
Mom: "OK, Spencer."
Spencer: "OK"
Grant: "Leaves are falling all around on the housetop's on our yard...(big laughs)."
Spencer: (big laughs and big happy eyes at mom and Grant)--He's in on stuff.
Grant: " I'm really interested in what the Madsen's are doing over in their yard. I miss the ladder 'cause I can't talk to them, or see, or hear what they are doing over there.
Mom: (Smiles)
I scrambled for my camera and even took notes. I was ready to feast on their cuteness.
Bellies were filled, little hearts soared, and eyes crinkled with laughter at lunch today. Never mind the crumbs and dishes... it won't take long to clean up.
Besides, the memories of lunch with my darling, wiggly, jabbering, laughing and oh soooooo cute little boys will forever be in my mind. At times like this I wish I could devour these little boys in all their slobbery, sticky, deliciously adoreable glory. I love being a mom. There is no place I'd rather be than home with these guys. They don't know what they do to me...I'm in love.

You're lucky you can eat outside. It's freezing here. Did I get tricked into moving to South Dakota?
That's so nice- they are such cute boys. It's freezing here too! There's no way we'd eat outside- in fact, we haven't for months! I envy you!
