Grant is a real live kindergartner now, with a backpack and papers to be signed and cute work that I get to see every day. This is too much fun. I just love this whole kindergarten business. The 2 and 1/2 hour break everyday to get a few things done is just heavenly.I am so impressed that Grant used multiple colors and stayed in the lines reasonably well. In the past he has really resisted coloring and just scribbled on the page when forced. I think this may have to do with a little positive peer pressure. I am happy to see that he is trying to conform a little bit. We all need to do that to some degree to be successful and I guess I never thought he would so this is a big step for our little cutie Grant
You probably have noticed that he is going by Matthew or Matt. He has decided that he wants to be just like his dad and use his "real" name. I can't think of a better role-model for him to follow. His daddy is sure a great one.
This worksheet has the same characters as the Book Kissing Hand. It is a darling book about a little racoon starting school for the first time and all of the insecurities that he is feeling. I highly recommend it. I actually bought it for one of Grant's birthday presents so we could read it before school started. He really liked it.
