Every year our ward has an activity called "Chicken in the Park". Fabulous dutch oven chicken and potatoes are provided and everyone else brings side dishes and desserts. Can I just say the food is FABULOUS. I literally felt like I had to roll out to our car I ate so much...it was just so good I couldn't stop. The company is even better. The kids run and soak each other with water balloon's and super soakers. It is just a little bit of heaven on earth.
Grant discovered girls tonight. They are complex creatures. In his words, "They are almost impossible to resist...I'm going to live my whole life around girls." And there you have it. At age 6 he is lovin' the girls. He said this after he had already asked us if we could have a meeting at our house with some of the boys in the ward to get back at the girls for teasing them and being so rough. He said they have to convince the girls to not think the boys are crazy.
We enjoyed chatting with all of our friends and actually carried on normal, adult conversations since our kids were off having the times of their lives.
It was a perfect summer evening of fun.
