At the end of the “Eyre-Picking" game Grandma and Jo announced that two special awards would be given away for the most beautiful eggs. Matt beamed with pride as he thought about his nice shiny eggs that he had created and hoped one of the prizes would be his. Much to his disappointment, the prizes went to Grant and Spencer! (There is always next year Matt.) The boys were thrilled with their giant baskets filled to the brim with treats and other cute things.

Easter 2008
This year we spent Easter with with Grandma and Grandpa Holland, Aunt Sarah, and John and Sue DiBella at Grandma Helen and Aunt Josephine's home.

Easter at their house has become a tradition that we really enjoy. They make everyone feels so special with all of the beautiful details.

Along with a delicious dinner on a beautifully set table, we enjoyed dying Easter eggs and a rousing game of "Eyre-Picking." Its stiff competition with the Holland gang:)

I can't be sure but I think Jo was rubbing in the fact that her beautiful pink egg beat my wimpy orange egg. She's been at it for a few more years than I have. Good job Jo...I won't be a sore loser. I love this picture. You have a very pretty smile.
Spencer had a strong debut. He smacked another egg and actually cracked it on his first try. Grandma and Grandpa declared him a genius after that. We are so proud of his demolition skills.
Grant went from totally stressing about egg destruction to very greedy for a win! Once he got started, he was all about destroying every ones eggs! That is my boy! (Last year he was so tender hearted and cried that the pretty eggs were being broken on purpose.)
Sarah tried so hard to be kind to Grant even though he was a little exuberant throughout the whole entire evening! He is a whole lot of boy...and a whole lot of fun too!! Sarah we will be happy to work out any stains you may have gotten by your darling dinner and egg-dying partner.
Grandma and Grandpa were so great about playing with Spencer and made a big deal out of every little cute thing he did. Boy was he happy about that!

John and Sue were so kind and complimentary of our boys and looked very anxious to have a little grandbaby of their own. Baby Connor thier first grandson was born just a few weeks later to their Daughter Amy and her husband Matt.
We want to thank Grandma and Jo for all of their hard work and another wonderful Easter Memory. We love you!

Thanks for resending the invitation- I just sat and caught up with everything you've been doing over the last few months- and now it makes me miss you so much! I have so many questions! The boys look great, when does Grant start school? He is so grown up! Matt has opened his own lawyer practice? That's great! Russell has just finished law school, and starts work in September for his Dad! I wish that there was some way we could meet up in Florida- we have so much to catch up on!
Hi Kristi...I am glad that you are back on the blogging scene. Wow, things sound exciting for you guys? Starting your own practice I am sure is an exciting, yet stressful new adventure. Congratulations and good luck. Keep us updated!
Oh...and can you add my other e-mail address...jennifer40@hotmail.com. That is the one I am usually logged into. If it isn't too big of a deal...let me know...Thank you!
