Topic for Tuesday January 15th 2008 - one week/one person

This topic could not have come at a better time. Last Saturday after a busy day of chores and errands Matt and I decided to do something really exciting and get dinner at Costco. It was exciting because we rarely do it and we decided to stroll around looking at whatever we wanted instead of rushing through to be as efficient as possible. While we were enjoying our night out at Costco I found a few things that got me thinking; I NEED A VACATION NOW!

The first thing I saw was a travel brochure from Costco, featuring several tropical destinations. I was so wanting to jump into the pictures and enjoy a nice frosty beverage, lay around in the sun and hear the wonderful sound of ...no kids. I can not tell you how my heart ached to be somewhere tropical. I stared longingly at the brochures until Grant abruptly ended my delightful fantasy as he exclaimed "let's go there" and jumped into my arms.

So the tropical vacation spot has been on my mind every since last Saturday and I guess that would be my number one pick with of course Matt. I would love to have several days of unstructured fun and relaxation with my best friend.

The second thing that caught my attention was a huge TV with an incredible picture and sound system showing the preview for the water horse a new movie in theatres. The scene was a breathtaking view of an old house looking over the sea in Scotland. The sky and the house were gray and the greenery was so vibrant and beautiful. I thought first I want to go to the movies and we did. Then I thought I would love to be in Scotland. So, my second choice is Scotland with Matt.

I'm with you on the tropical! I'm embarrassed to say that dinner at Costco is a bi-monthly event for us. If Josh happens to be home during the day he often takes Loie there for lunch. It's their little date.
