Tagged!

You've been tagged! Now it's your turn.

5 things I was doing 10 years ago:

1) I would have been very tired from working a part-time job, running track and being a full-time student at the University of South Dakota. I would have just told the track coach that I couldn't run anymore because I needed to work more in order to support myself. I wish I could have avoided that.

2.) Talking frequently to my friend Elaine about all the fun she was having at BYU. I was very envious. College life in South Dakota revolved around 1 thing, PARTIES! And I am not talking about root beer and ice cream parties either. I didn't have many friends as a result.

3.) A little freaked out because one of the cooks named "Bear" at the restaurant I was working at seemed to develop a little crush on me and asked me to go out with him over and over and over again and one day after repeated rejections finally stole my wallet and shirt for a little keepsake to remember me by. He was bald on top with long eighties hair in the back and he had several missing teeth.

4.) Freezing as I walked to class in the sub zero temperatures.

5.) Excited for my impending move to Provo!!!

5 things on my "to do" list:

1.) Learn something new.
2.) Start exercising daily
3.) Finish the laundry
4.) Clean out the guest room
5.) Clean out the garage

5 snacks I enjoy:

1.) Chocolate dipped strawberries

2.) Tortilla chips and guacamole

3.) Hot chocolate and buttery toast

4.) Popcorn and M&M's

5.) Peanut butter and banana toast (I haven't had this in about 5 years)

5 things I would do if I was a billionaire:

1.) Get several degrees

2.) BUY A HOUSE!!!

3.) Go to Hawaii

4.) Donate half to the perpetual education fund

5.) Save, save, save

3 habits:

1.) Over-planning when stressed

2.) Lecturing

3.) I run my fingers through my hair when I am thinking.

5 jobs I have had:

1.) Taco Bell/Cinnabon

2.) Wal-mart (It was South Dakota, give me a break.)

3.) Construction Flagger

4.) Secretary

5.) Aide for 11-year old twins with cerebral palsy

I'm so behind on reading blogs lately, so I'm trying to catch up! I loved reading more about you in your "tagged" post. I didn't know you ran track. Do you still run? And you've had quite a variety of jobs! Construction flagger? My worst was telemarketer.

And that picture of Grant in the tub is so funny - he was so chubby! (I never would have guessed!)

And on being a delight - isn't it funny how one simple statement/act can change someone's whole day! I've noticed that with Jeff, too.

Don't be ashamed of your time at Walmart. I 'came out' about telemarketing AND picking up highway litter! I'm so glad I get to be a mommy now.

I'm laughing so hard about "Bear". Great imagery in describing him. And I get the hot chocolate, but with buttery toast? Together? Don't think I would have thought of that. I'll have to try the popcorn and M&Ms.

Love "Bike Man." The poses totally capture Grant's fun personality.
