What Goes Well With Hot Chocolate?

Ice skating does!!

We went ice skating for the first time last night. I thought it was pretty expensive ($9 for adults and $7 for children). However, I think it was worth every penny.

First, we went into the mall for some hot chocolate but ended up getting some corn dogs on our way. Cinnabon was out of hot chocolate so off to Starbucks. Grant did not want to get hot chocolate from Starbucks. He made up a song and sang it until I made out the words and quickly stopped him. It went something like this.

"I hate coffee, it is evil, I hate coffee so much..."

Matt claims that he is going to take pictures next time instead of ice-skating. I think that he is just bashful about his new found love for ice skating.

Grant and I skated for nearly two hours. I was proud of my self for not falling every time Grant did. Grant discovvered near closing time that he could skate holding onto an orange traffic cone.

Spencer enjoyed the music and watching us skate, but it really paled in comparison to the giant mall bears waving to us. He thought they were dogs and started barking at them.

Matt put the kids PJ's on underneath their clothes so when we got home we could just take of their top layer and put them right to bed. That was a good idea since we didn't get home until after 10pm.

On the way home I asked Grant what he thought about his first time ice skating. He said with a twinkle in his eye "It was a disaster, I was falling all over the place, can we go every night!"
