Mr. Holland's Opus

Okay. This is Matt. This is my first time "blogging." I've never blogged before. Even though I don't really know what I'm doing here, I am very happy that Kristie has taken the time to get this up and going. I'm not exactly sure what to write about, so I'll just mention something cute that Grant did today during Sacrament Meeting.

The deacons had just passed us the sacrament bread and Grant ate his piece, crinkled his nose, furrowed his brow and looked up at me. "Dad," he said, "this bread is FABULOUS!! Where did they buy this? This is GREAT!" I guess I never realized how good a piece of white bread tastes to a five-year-old who never eats it otherwise. When the sacrament water came a few minutes later, Grant said, "Ahhh. Great! I am so thirsty!" I think we'll take a little time during FHE to learn more about the meaning of the bread and water. In the meantime, though, it's fun to get Grant's unique perspective on things. He's a good kid and I love him.

Atta Boy Matt! Looking forward to many more blog's from a father's perspective. Not that I don't think my daughter Kristie's blogs are the greatest. I'm sure yours will be just as good!
